Established in 1977, the Victorian Kendo Renmei is the official governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo in the state of Victoria, Australia.

Nanseikan Kangeiko!

All VKR kendoka are invited to attend the inaugural Nanseikan Kangeiko!

Nanseikan have moved to a new dojo in Heidelberg West and to celebrate this move Nanseikan will be having their first training camp on Thursday 9 July, commencing at 10.00am and finishing at 5.00pm. The training is timed to coincide with school holidays, so a special invitation is extended to any junior members of other VKR clubs. University kendo students are also welcome to attend.

The cost will be $20 per person. Lunch will be provided.

Victorian Women's Kendo Training has started


Victorian Women’s Kendo training commenced on Saturday 6th June, and will be held every Saturday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the Kenshikan dojo.

This training is open to all female kendoka in Victoria of all grades.

UMKC 20th Anniversary Taikai - Results

2009 AGM

The Victorian Kendo Renmei will be holding it's Annual General Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Kenshikan Dojo in West Melbourne and allmembers of the VKR are invited to particiate.

It is an election year and therefore a call for votes for the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Public Officer will take place.

Prior to the AGM a special keiko will be taking place. Please read below for details!
